Security and privacy of your drawings
Who can see what, where it lives, and what LumberSet never does with it.
A builder trusted you with their drawings, and your catalog and prices are your competitive position. Here is how they are kept.
Who can see your drawings
- Members of your workspace.
- LumberSet staff, to review a takeoff or to help you when you ask. Staff work in a separate staff panel with its own sign-in.
- Nobody at another workspace, ever. Every workspace's data is kept apart, and every request is checked against the workspace you are signed in to.
Where it lives
Drawings go straight from your browser to private object storage over an encrypted connection. Rendered sheets and takeoffs live in the same private storage. Quote PDFs are made when someone opens or downloads them. Nothing is publicly listed.
Reading
The sheets are sent to Anthropic's commercial API to be read into a building model. Your drawings are not used to train AI models. The takeoff itself is computed by LumberSet's own rules engine.
Prices and quotes
Your catalog, costs and markup are visible only to your workspace. A customer's quote link shows the quote and nothing else. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's forms and stored by Stripe.
Putting a project away
Archive a project to take it off your lists. Deleting a project is not in the app yet. If you need drawings removed, open a ticket and tell us which project.
Sign-in
Sessions are held in secure cookies scoped to the app.
Reporting a security problem
Use the Help button, open a ticket, and tell us what you found. We read every report and will reply to you.
