Cookie policy

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small piece of text a website stores in your browser so it can recognize you on the next request. Some are necessary for a site to work. Others track people across sites for advertising. We use the first kind only.

2. This website

lumberset.com, the site you are reading, sets no cookies of its own. It has no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics trackers. Your browser may store the site's fonts and images to load pages faster; that is caching, not tracking.

3. The application

When you sign in to the LumberSet application (app.lumberset.com, and the admin and staff panels for our own staff), it sets session cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to protect your session against forgery. They are scoped to the host that set them, they are not readable by scripts, and they expire when the session ends or after a period of inactivity. Without them you cannot sign in.

4. Third parties

When you add a card, the payment form is provided by Stripe and may set cookies of its own for fraud prevention, under Stripe's cookie policy. We do not embed advertising pixels or social media buttons anywhere on the site or the application.

5. Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking the application's session cookies means you cannot stay signed in.

6. Changes and contact
