The questions behind the price.
What exactly counts as a billable quote?
A quote becomes billable at one moment: when the takeoff for a plan set is released to your yard. Creating projects, uploading drawings, setting up your standards and loading your catalog are not billable, and neither is anything you do to the quote after release.
Do edits and re-pricing cost extra?
No. Once a takeoff is released you can correct a wall height, change a stud spacing, swap materials, re-match catalog items, change prices or margin, and send the quote again as many times as the project needs. None of that is charged.
What happens when the builder sends revised drawings?
A revised issue of the drawings is a new plan set, and a takeoff run on it is a new billable quote. Small changes you can make yourself, such as a wall height, a stud spacing or a substituted material, recompute the existing takeoff instantly at no charge.
Do I pay if I do not win the project?
Yes. The $200 is for the takeoff and the quote, not a commission on the sale. The comparison to make is with what the same takeoff costs you today in estimator hours, and with the projects you cannot quote at all when the desk is backed up.
Is there a monthly fee, a minimum or a contract?
Not on pay per quote. A month with no quotes costs nothing, and there is nothing to cancel. Billing plans for yards quoting at volume do carry a monthly fee, in exchange for included quotes. Those are arranged by conversation.
How many people at my yard can use it?
As many as you like. There are no seat licenses. Invite owners, managers and estimators to your yard's workspace, each with the access their role needs.
How do I pay?
By card. Payments are handled by Stripe, so card details never touch LumberSet's servers. Every charge, credit and refund appears on your yard's ledger, so the bookkeeping is never a mystery.
Will the price change?
$200 per quote is our launch price. If it changes, we will tell you before the change applies to you, and quotes already billed are never re-priced.
Is the price the same for contractors?
Yes. A general contractor, framer, remodeler or developer pays $200 per released takeoff, with the first one free, and gets the same reviewed takeoff a yard gets.
