Accessibility statement

1. Our aim

We build this website and the LumberSet application to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We are not there on every screen yet, and this page says where we know we fall short.

2. What we do

• Every screen works at 375 pixels wide, without horizontal scrolling, and on touch.
• Everything can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
• Text and controls use the contrast of our design system, chosen to meet AA.
• Headings, lists, tables, landmarks and form labels are real HTML, so screen readers can use them.
• Information is never given by color alone: a status has a word next to its color.
• Motion is reduced when your system asks for it.
• A "Skip to content" link is the first thing on every page.

3. Known limitations

• The sheets of a plan set are images of drawings. A screen reader cannot read what is drawn on them. The takeoff, the arithmetic behind each line and the evidence panel are text, so the quantities and where they came from are readable.
• Quote and takeoff PDFs are generated documents. They carry text, not scanned images, but they are not yet tagged for structure.
• The card payment form is provided by Stripe and follows Stripe's accessibility work.
• The help assistant is a chat. Its messages are readable in order, and a ticket by email is always available as an alternative.

4. Tell us

If something is hard to use or cannot be used with the assistance you rely on, write to hello@lumberset.com or request a call. Tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and what you use (for example a screen reader, magnification or keyboard only). We will reply, and we will fix what we can.

5. How we check

We test with keyboard navigation, screen readers and small screens as we build, and we review this statement when the product changes. The dates at the top show when it was last reviewed.
