Acceptable use policy

1. What the service is for

LumberSet is for preparing takeoffs, quotes, budget estimates and requests for quote for construction projects that your business is quoting, bidding, building or supplying. This policy forms part of our terms of service.

2. The drawings you upload

Upload only drawings you have the right to use for the purpose of preparing a takeoff: drawings a customer sent you to quote, drawings for your own projects, or drawings you were given permission to estimate from. Do not upload drawings, documents or images that are unlawful, that infringe someone else's rights, or that contain malware.

3. Other workspaces

Every workspace is private. Do not try to reach another workspace's data, guess or reuse links that are not yours, or work around the access your role gives you.

4. Suppliers and customers

Send quotes only to customers who expect them, and requests for quote only to suppliers who deal in the materials you are asking about. Do not use the service to send unsolicited advertising, to harass anyone, or to collect replies you have no intention of acting on.

5. The service itself

You agree not to:

• probe, scan or test the service for weaknesses, or interfere with how it runs;
• copy, reverse engineer, scrape or bulk download the service or its content;
• resell the service, share a workspace across unrelated businesses, or open repeated workspaces to avoid fees;
• use the service to build a competing product, or feed its output into one;
• use the help assistant or support staff abusively, or pretend to be someone you are not;
• upload volumes of material that are unrelated to estimating construction projects;
• break any law while using the service.

6. Security research

If you find a security problem, tell us at hello@lumberset.com with "Security report" in the subject, give us a reasonable time to fix it, and do not access more data than you need to show the problem. We will not take action against good-faith research that follows this.

7. What happens on a breach

If a workspace breaches this policy we may suspend or end its access, remove the content concerned, and where the law requires it, report the matter. We will tell the workspace owners what happened unless the law prevents us.
