Team roles and invitations
Owner, Manager and Estimator: what each can do, and how to invite someone.
Everyone at your company can use LumberSet. There is no charge per person.
Roles
- Owner: everything, including billing, settings and who is on the team.
- Manager: projects, takeoffs, quotes, catalog, estimating standards and settings. Managers can invite people and see billing, but cannot change the card.
- Estimator: runs takeoffs and sends quotes. Estimators can read the catalog and the standards but cannot change them.
The person who created the workspace is its Owner.
Inviting someone
- Open Settings, then Team.
- Enter their email and choose a role.
- Send. They get an email with a link to join.
The invitation expires after 7 days. If it lapses, send a new one. If the person has no LumberSet account yet, ask them to create one first, then open the invitation link.
Changing a role or removing someone
Changing roles and removing people are not in the app yet. Open a ticket and Support will help.
Your workspace is yours
Each workspace is separate: its projects, catalog and quotes are visible only to its own members.
