Billing: what you pay and when
One charge per takeoff when it is released to you. Everything before and after it is free.
LumberSet charges when a takeoff is released to your workspace. A change order's takeoff is charged at the lower change order fee. Nothing else is billed.
What is free
- Setting up your workspace, standards, catalog and team.
- Creating projects and uploading drawings.
- Reading the drawings. If reading fails, nothing is charged.
- Correcting elements and recomputing the takeoff.
- Pricing, sending, editing and re-sending quotes, for as long as the project lives.
- RFQs, budget estimates and exports.
What is charged
When a takeoff is released to you, the quote fee for your billing plan is charged. On the Pay per quote plan that is $200 per released takeoff, with no monthly fee and no contract. Volume plans with a monthly fee and included takeoffs are available; ask us.
Your first takeoff is free. Your first charge is the second one.
How it is charged
Charges are recorded on your ledger and collected through Stripe from the card on file. You need a card on file after your free takeoff, before the next one can start. Card numbers go straight to Stripe and never reach LumberSet.
Seeing your charges
Open Settings, then Billing. The ledger lists every charge, credit and refund. Owners can update the card there too.
If a payment fails
The Owners get an email with the reason from the card issuer. New takeoffs stay blocked until the fee is settled: update your card in Billing, then open a ticket so we can collect it.
