Credits and coupons
Prepaid takeoffs, granted credits, and codes that take money off the next fees.
Beyond the standard quote fee there are two ways to pay less, or to pay ahead.
Credits
A credit is one prepaid takeoff. Credits are used after your free takeoff and before any fee is charged. You can get them three ways:
- Buy a credit pack: a bundle of takeoffs for one price.
- Be granted them by LumberSet, for example to make up for a problem.
- Redeem a coupon that gives free takeoffs.
Your remaining credits show on the Billing page. When a takeoff is released and you have credits, one credit is used and nothing is charged.
Coupons
A coupon is a code LumberSet hands out. It can be:
- A percentage off your next quote fees.
- An amount off your next quote fees.
- A number of free takeoffs, added as credits.
Each code can be redeemed once per workspace, and some codes are only for yards or only for builders. A discount applies to the number of fees the coupon states, then ends on its own.
Who can do it
An Owner buys credit packs and redeems coupons in Settings, then Billing.
Order of use
When a takeoff is released, LumberSet applies, in order: your free takeoff, then credits, then any discount, then the quote fee. The ledger shows exactly which applied. Credits and coupons do not apply to change order fees.
